Acharya Radhakrishnan Potti Donates Homa Honorarium to Charity
As a model of generosity, Acharya Radhakrishnan Potti, who led the Maha Mrityunjaya Homa organized under the leadership of Acharyan Carebharath Charitable Trust, handed over the honorarium he received from the homa to the Trust’s charitable activities. The amount was received by Dr. R. Rajeevan, Vice Chairman of the Trust and Treasurer of the Maha Mrityunjaya Homa Organizing Committee.
Radhakrishnan Potti’s brother has been undergoing treatment for cancer for a long time. The expenses for his medicines and other needs have been met entirely from Potti’s own earnings. Because of this, he personally understands the struggles faced by patients due to financial difficulties. With that awareness, he expressed that he too would extend whatever support he could. Realizing the value of the Trust’s charitable activities and the hardships caused by financial constraints, he became an Associate Member of the Trust. He further suggested that the concept of performing homas and yajnas could be practiced in such a way that the honorarium received from them could be used for charity — and he has put this into practice himself.
